The path is easy to walk and signposted, but I still recommend sturdy shoes.

There are a few benches along the route that invite you to take a short break, at the refuge in Niederweidbach you can plan a longer break. There you have a beautiful view of the lake and plenty of seating.

You can either eat in the restaurant "Seeterrasse Niederweidbach" or, if you like it quick to hand, in the "Aartalgrill", which is very busy especially when the weather is good - bikers like to come here. If you like home-style cooking, the hotel-restaurant "Seehof" is the right address.

An alternative and free parking lot can be found at the village community center in Rossbach, directly opposite the Dicken Eiche, one of the natural monuments on the hiking trail.
