The Staller Sattel is located directly on the border of Austria and Italy. The road connects the East Tyrolean Defereggental with the South Tyrolean Antholzertal and reaches its peak here at 2,052 meters. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, slopes and small towns make this pass really worth driving. However, it is not open all the time. In summer it is open between 6 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. and on the Italian side the single-lane road is regulated by traffic lights, which only open in one direction for a quarter of an hour at a time.

What a thrill to climb this pass full of tight curves but in a fairytale setting. There is to be careful when the traffic light at the top turns green and especially the motorbikes arrive at great speed knowing that the road is clear. When they feel they are coming, it is better to stop for a moment and let them pass.
