In Bulgaria we call it "gliganing" ("wild boaring") because there is no path through the mountain pine/pinus mugo ("Chernata skala" peak is rounded by mountain pine and there is no way to workaround it).
Very good views - Cherni vrah, Sofia, Kopitoto and many Vitosha huts.
Really really nice, but keep in mind that it is hard for walking. Smart people (not like me) uses long pants for this tour in order to easily pass the mountain pine.
It is very rare to meet people on the upper part of this track.

There is no path or the path is not visible from the river to the forest. In the forest there is a nice visible path. After the forest there is a path from time to time but then when the mountain pine starts to enclose the peak - the path is lost and you start fighting with it alone. I hurried on my way back so I wasn't looking for a path there (it might be (or not) such path available on this side).
