With the renovation of the pedestrian zone, the asphalt covering was removed and a uniformly designed area with many seating options was created over its entire length and width. The pedestrian zone is not just a shopping area. It is developing more and more into a meeting point and an area for action in the city.

Bergedorfer Strasse is the shopping mile in Geesthacht. There are many nice, small and larger shops here and there is always something to see. Here you can stroll and shop in a relaxed manner, and there are also a few opportunities to strengthen yourself with food and drink.
