Tips
The town hall was rebuilt from 1660-1662 after a city fire. In 1991, parts of the town hall were renovated.

Above the entrance to the town hall there is a coat of arms stone with an inscription that reports on the fire and the reconstruction.

Right next door is the Wettiner Hof, which was purchased by an Indian woman and a Ukrainian man after 15 years of vacancy and reopened as a café-restaurant. Very friendly service and excellent food make it worth a visit.
