Lipica Stud Farm

The Lipica estate is one of Slovenia's most important cultural monuments and is known as the home of the world-famous white Lipizzaner horses. With over 400 years of history, it combines horse breeding, cultural and natural heritage on more than 300 hectares.

You can almost always see Lipizzaner horses roaming freely here—a real sight!The Lipica Stud Farm is located in the Lipica district (Italian: Lipizza) in the municipality of Sežana in Slovenia, not far from the Italian border. The district gives its name to the white Lipizzaner horses. Lipica is one of the most popular destinations for excursions in the Karst region.
