Girvan Harbour Lighthouse is at the end of Girvan’s South Pier. Its concrete tower was built in 1883.  Girvan is located on Scotland’s eastern coast, looking out across the Firth of Clyde.
The harbour dates back to the early 18th century and was originally built to support a thriving local fishing industry along the Ayrshire coast. While fishing continues today, the harbour also accommodates pleasure boats.
