Gut Eichthal is located south of Overath between the Agger and Siegburger Straße. The site was formerly part of the provostry Cyriax, a branch of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Michael in Siegburg.

The historic manor building from the early 19th century has been owned by the city of Overath since 1988. In addition to the place of learning with modern teaching buildings, the large park around the property is also used by the population as a place to relax.
