The dump Pattberg is a former dump of the coal mine Pattberg in Moers Repelen.
The dumping of the heap by the mine began in 1962 and lasted over 20 years. The heap covers an area of 48 hectares and has a plateau about 75 meters high. There is a widely visible summit cross.

The Halde Pattberg offers after the overcome permanent slope at the summit a beautiful view over Duisburg, Moers and Kamp-Lintfort.
The only constructional highlight is the summit cross.
With exactly one bank at this said cross, the rest possibilities are obviously very limited. But who takes his sweetheart, a blanket and something to nibble on the spacious plateau very good picnic.
For the sunny days but said that there are no shady spots on the summit.

The Pattberg tip is always worth a visit by bike. The climbs are moderate and the summit cross is a nice point for a break. There are good connection points to two other heaps (Rheinpreußen and Halde Norddeutschland) and various cities in the vicinity. Moers, Rheinberg, Neukirchen-Vluyn and Kamp-Lintfort can be reached in a short time.
