Colorado Provençal de Rustrel

Rustrel presents a “Provençal Colorado” much larger than that of Rousillon. A real hiking trail allows you to spend several hours in its magnificent old ocher quarries. These accumulations of sand are the testimony of a sea which retreated a long time ago.

Watch out for cyclists. If you come by bike, do not go to the parking counter, even if the person tells you to park next to the entrance barrier and go to the counter. Come on the road to this position or another to leave your bike there. Then you can go for a walk in Colorado without being cheated out of 3€! The counter is for car parking only!

The "Colorado Provencal" itself is best reached on foot. So you should look for a suitable place where you can lock your bike and leave it.
The landscape of the Colorado Provencal is then reached after a 10-minute walk. You should take some time for this; it's really impressive.
