A visit to the Sanctuary of Madonna della Corona is a must! Even the view from the Brenner motorway is impressive and I knew immediately, there I want to go! The path from the parking in Spiazzi is partly steep or with many stairs, but not far. In good weather you have a great view of the Adige Valley.

Madonna della Corona Pilgrimage Church near Spiazzi and a footpath with Stations of the Cross, 15 stations and life-size bronze figures leads from there to the church.
The well-known place of pilgrimage nestles at a height (774 m above sea level) on a vertical rock face and is worth a visit simply because of this spectacular location. At first monks who belonged to the San Zeno monastery of Verona lived here, in 1434 the Santuario passed to the Maltese Cross Order. The sanctuary is located in Spiazzi, a hamlet of Caprino, and can be reached via the provincial road coming from Caprino.
Alternatively, there is a two-hour hike along a pilgrimage route from Brentino, a hamlet on the east side of Monte Baldo. It's all uphill!
