Very nice vantage point on the Geissberg and starting point for various trails. Several barbecue areas also invite you to linger.

Well, who does not take a break here is your own fault. We are not just here to kick. Horny view in horny height. Consider that everything went up. But it is rewarded with a clean view. Of course, benches, tables and barbecue would also be available for a big party. From then on it goes downhill again. So twice rewarded. Have fun

Trails for everyone, up to almost impossible downhills where some would not even run. I myself made a bow around it. These daredevil trails are not for beginners. But definitely worth a look. But you come around it. Simply search for a replacement route with Komoot. There is something for everyone to kick. In the upwards direction one will probably have to push one or the other times. If you do not want to do that, look for a simple route around the Gabenchopf. Pay attention to the "S0 - S5" marking of the routes.

The Chänzeli at the end of the Geissberg offers a beautiful view and the Bänkli the ideal (earned) rest area. The single trail from the ruin Besserstein here is very nice. Sometimes close to the ridge but almost always without significant height differences. These were enough to climb the ruin Besserstein ;-)

The ascent from Gansiger Hauptstrasse is extremely steep - had to walk. The view up here and then the extremely long S0 trail compensates for this - this is really awesome.

Steep ascent from Villigen, but when you arrive at the Chiesgruebe you will be rewarded with a great, pleasant trail around the Geissberg with beautiful vantage points. At the end down towards Hasel, very steep scree descent. Great route
