Wüstefeld is a special, I would rather write a “mystical” place.

You cycle through the town on your bike and experience this place, letting it work its magic on you... as it presents itself.

Simple, small, well-kept properties, a country cafe and a beautiful and romantic courtyard with a decorative and inviting courtyard atmosphere. Then right next to it is the dilapidated house of the so-called cannibal of Rotenburg, with a rusting Mercedes in the outside garden area. In the center of the village there is a bus stop with notices about the common football game on the football field or the notice because of Corona, the old people's afternoons can now be held with good friends for two or three people with a coffee chat. If you drive further you cross a stream where on the railing there is an open Bible “The Day of the Murder of Gedalja” and right next to it there is a notice board with the local history (leaving out the cannibals) of Wüstefeld and opposite is a colorful artist’s house decorated with lots of knick-knack signs.

A place that you don't just drive through... just mystical.
