The reserve includes the section between Karklė and Nemirseta, on the site of the former Nemirseta military training ground, includes the remnant Lake Plaza, the wetland coastal ecosystem and the coastal stretch. The reserve is intended to preserve the landscape, flora and fauna characteristic of this coastal region - the landscape of the meadows of the continental coastal section, the coastal cliff, dunes, willow willows, coastal sand dunes, steppe meadows. The rare coastal flaxseed growing here and the soil forge that lives here are especially protected.
