The Trevi Fountain is one of the most beautiful fountains in the world. Not only because of its size or its design, but also because of its energy. Its birth was a long process since it was started "almost formally" in 1732, by the architect Nicola Salvi.
Its design is in the Baroque style, where elements of architecture, sculpture and nature come together in the same setting.

A highlight in Rome and mostly surrounded by "thousands" of people.
Behind the Trevi Fountain is one of the oldest pharmacies in Rome. "Antica Farmacia Pesci" was opened in 1552, after the papal decree that medicines should also be available to the poor and needy.

The Trevi Fountain, in Italian Fontana di Trevi, is the most popular fountain in Rome, about 26 meters high and 50 meters wide, and one of the most famous fountains in the world.
It was built from 1732 to 1762 to a design by Nicola Salvi in the late Baroque, in the transition to the classicist style, following the Palazzo Poli. It is one of the main attractions of Rome.
The fountain was reopened on 3 November 2015 after long restoration work.

The fountains of the city of Rome - for the most part magnificently developed as here with the "Fontana di Trevi" - delivered the vital elixir from the surrounding mountains to the Eternal City in past centuries.
I would like to quote the incomparable humorist Heinz ERHARDT (1909 - 1979), who was known to a wide audience - especially in German-speaking countries - for his word joke and "Noch'n poem", with a short quatrain:
"There is certainly much beauty in
on the element, the wet.
Because you can drink the water.
But you can - also leave it."

For all coin throwers.
The coin is thrown over the right shoulder in the Trevi Fountain!
One returns to Rome.
You will fall in love with an Italian or an Italian.
You marry your lover or your sweetheart.
Incidentally, in Rome it is only permitted on the Trevi to throw coins into the well, as far as I know.
