Ansedonia is located on a small promontory at the point where the Feniglia tombolo joins the Maremma coast. Ansedonia is not a real village, the houses are mostly villas scattered and hidden in the Mediterranean vegetation. These constructions are relatively recent, before the 1950s on the Ansedonia promontory only the ruins of the ancient Roman settlement of Cosa stood, which can still be visited.
