Nice tour around the island. Up to Porto San Stefano there was a lot of traffic on the road. After Porto S. Stefano we took a hiking trail, so we had to push our bikes a bit again😄. Then we switched to the Strada Panaramico which offers beautiful views of the bays. A little before Porto Ercole it turns into a gravel road. At the end of this tour, the rear brake pads were at their end

From Orbetello along the lagoon to Capalbio. Capalbio has a historic old town that is well worth seeing. We saw a lot of Tuscany Trail participants here. This is a 500km long cycle race through Tuscany with the finish line in Orbetello (2021). Here is an article from 2020 radsport-news.com/freizeit/freizeitnews_121190.htm.
Yesterday we saw a lot of people who finished.

Nice tour in Gola San Martino. Which begins especially spectacularly with a narrow passage. After that comes a former abbey and then it rises steadily. Good footwear and surefootedness required. When going back you have to be careful not to slip on the loose scree. GPS records difficult in the narrow gorge and do not always coincide with the route. Above all, the average speed cannot be right.

Today we cycled on the route of the former narrow-gauge railway Spoleto Norcia. Partly a bit overgrown and some parts have to be driven on the road. We came from Norcia to Sant'Anatolia di Narco here the first long tunnel was closed and despite looking we couldn't find a way further and we didn't want to continue on the main road. I did find a way, but it was more of a hiking trail than a bike path. But that's where it would have gotten interesting. From here the train has screwed its way up through several tunnels and spiral tunnels (360 ° tunnel) and galleries to get to Spoleto on the other side. Maybe it would have been better to start in Spoleto, because the way from Spoleto to Narcia was much better signposted. Because when we drove back we saw that we could have saved a good piece of the main road and a long road tunnel. We just didn't find the way when we drove there. It was a nice tour.

Something different was planned once again. Actually, we wanted to go through the Furlo gorge to Paso Furlo and on to Urbino. But in Furlo the road through the gorge was closed due to the danger of falling rocks. So we took the Strada Panaramico to Monte Furlo. At the top we had to wait about 15 minutes because a mountain bike race was taking place. Then we decided to go back to Urbania on the direct route and not to return to the original route.
