Tavertet is a municipality in Catalonia, Spain. Belonging to the province of Barcelona, in the Osona region, located to the south of the Collsacabra sub-region, within the Guillerías area, on top of a rock and next to a large precipice with views of the Sau, Susqueda and in the distance the Montseny mountains that serve as a viewpoint of a landscape full of Mediterranean forests. The lowest point is at 425 meters above sea level in the Sau reservoir and the highest point, at 1,196 meters above sea level, is Puig de Cortils.Tavertet borders the municipalities of Vilanova de Sau, Masías de Roda, Rupit and Pruït and Santa María de Corcó.
