Kleintettau Trekking Site

Unfortunately, sleeping under the stars is rarely possible in Germany. So look forward to this trekking site set up by the Franconian Forest, very close to the famous Rennsteig. Here you will find space for about one tent each on two wooden platforms and floor space for two more tents, a fire pit with benches, firewood storage, outdoor toilet and a water barrel with domestic water. You bring your own drinking water and toilet paper.

In my opinion, an optimally designed trekking site. Paid (to be booked in advance). Unfortunately, the street is within earshot. But it is quiet at night.

From the plateau "wooden floor above" you have a really nice view. The street noise was unfortunately very audible during the week, until about 11 p.m. and at 3: 30/4 a.m. it started again. What a shame.
