Wikipedia: The memorial tower to the Battle of Großbeeren 1813 is a 32 -meter-high, listed building in Großbeeren, a free municipality in the northern part of the district Teltow-Fläming (Brandenburg). It was built for the 100th anniversary of the victorious Battle of Großbeeren and inaugurated on 23 August 1913. He is considered the landmark of the place.

The memorial tower commemorates the battle between Prussia and France in 1813 at Großbeeren. It was opened in 1913 for the 100th anniversary. The tower with the museum can also be visited. If you climb the 137 steps, you can enjoy a beautiful view from above.

Here it is worth it to leave the bike to climb the tower. Inside there is an exhibition on the said battle.

32 m high memorial tower to commemorate the Battle of Großbeeren on August 23, 1813 in which the Prussians under General von Bülow defeated the Napoleonic troops and thus prevented the occupation of Berlin.

An annual victory festival takes place in Großbeeren on the last weekend in August. The battle is re-enacted in historical uniforms on the fields at the village church. The soldiers' camps are also set up there and can be visited.
