Near Pinzano, the course of the Tagliamento river passes through a narrow passage: this has meant that the place has been home to a ferry since ancient times. Probably, various attempts to build pontoon and wooden bridges followed one another, especially on the occasion of the passage of armies or important personalities, but these constructions were temporary in nature. Today the bridge connects the province of Udine to that of Pordenone.

From the hills of Pinzano reachable by MTB or some even gravel you can enjoy an exceptional view of the Tagliamento and the valleys; it is no coincidence that since ancient times fortifications were built there to monitor the enemy ... The last ones are sadly known of the wars in the last century.
