These are the so-called "White Houses" of Rechlin. They belong to the former Luftwaffe test center in Rechlin.
This itself was founded in 1916 and from 1933 became the most important test site for Nazi Germany. All major new developments have been tested here.
The name of the White Houses goes back to the former bright clinker facade. They were popularly known as the Berlin settlement. They were used to test bombs and improve building materials and shapes.
It is said that this system should be experimental buildings for Hitler's capital Germania and that Albert Speer should also have been involved here. Please stay on the paths when visiting this facility as the surrounding area is contaminated with ammunition.
