Tips

  • In the middle of the island in the village of Nebel lies the old church of St. Clement near the Watt. The church is open daily from 09.00-17.00. It is surrounded by a cemetery that has been buried for 800 years. Here are also the historic tombstones, which have been kept for hundreds of years and tell life stories.

  • Classic, simple church typical of the region without much decoration. A crucifix with a late Gothic body from 1480 hangs on the south wall. The cross dates from the 20th century. The free-standing sacrament cabinet from the 15th century has two doors. The inside of the upper door bears the painting of a seated man of pain in the late Gothic style.
