The former iron and steel works are located directly at the Peitzer fish ponds. The area is dominated by the historic blast furnace hall built in 1809/10. It is home to the oldest functioning iron foundry in Germany and is framed by two later wings (the former mechanical workshop and the former molding shop). The museum is worth seeing.
