The village church from the 16th century is equipped with farming equipment. The oldest tombstone in the circle is in it. It is the tombstone of Johannes v. Maltitz, who died in 1398.

The parish also has a Poppe organ in its church, carved angel and Christ figures on the pulpit, hand-painted calligraphically framed Biblical sayings in the parapet fields of the gallery.

All of these cultural and historical objects bear witness to the past and history of the village church. Until the Reformation, Maltis himself had a pastor. Now they are parish in Saara.

From Großstöbnitz via Kleinmückern it goes through the Mückernsche Grund on a small unpaved hiking and cycling path to Maltis. The small village church of St. Anna, which was built in the 16th century, is located in the approx. 100-strong community. The oldest tombstone of the community from 1398 is in the church. It has an organ and carved figures on the pulpit. In the direction of Saara there is a magnificent view of the numerous rapeseed fields that are currently in bloom. The weather was partly very nice with lots of clouds, but heavy gusts of wind. Sun and clouds alternated and luckily it was dry on the unpaved paths.
