Tips

  • The Wertach is almost 151 kilometers long and a tributary of the Lech: the Wertach. Two mountain streams at 1075 meters are their source. The Wertach is - after the Iller - the largest river that arises in the Allgäu Alps. The approx. 50 km long - and therefore the longest - tributaries are the Singold and the Gennach. It is created near the Austrian border by the confluence of the Kaltenbrunnenbach and the Eggbach between Oberjoch and Unterjoch.
