Melchsee-Frutt

The Melchsee-Frutt high plateau is located in the heart of Central Switzerland at 1920 m and offers a wide range of outdoor activities. The natural landscape, the mountain lake and the unique flora guarantee unforgettable moments.

Hiking, fishing, skiing, just enjoying the view and the beauty of the mountains. Everything is possible on the shore of this dream lake.

The cable car takes exhausted hikers comfortably down into the valley to Stöckalp, the valley station is served by the post bus.

I find the circular hike (14 km or 4 1/2 hours) from/to Melchsee-Frutt particularly beautiful in midsummer. Then the abundance of flowers is immense, you will find (peacefully) grazing cows everywhere and you can hardly get enough of the panorama of mountains and lakes.

The Melchsee-Frutt region is an absolute highlight with the Melchsee! The hike on the Balmeregghorn past the Melchsee is highly recommended! There is also a lot to discover around the lake for families with children

Beautifully landscaped, easy high-altitude hike.
The less strenuous route leads over the Tannensee with a leisurely climb to the Balmeregghorn.

Largest lake on the four lakes hike. Relatively touristy but well done with nice rest areas.

Beautiful hike from Melchsee-Frutt to the Jochpass, the last steep ascent can alternatively be made with the new six-seater chairlift.
Relaxation in the "Bärghuis Jochpass" is guaranteed, beautiful large house, great terrace, good food, modern accommodation in different sizes, GREAT!

A path leads around the lake. Pleasant round for children too.

The hike around the lakes is wonderful. A steep climb just after the first lake and then on the ridge over and down to the second lake. You can also take the small tourist train.

I don't think the collection of hotels etc is really nice, but the lakes with the mountains behind them are even more brilliant... from here you can either just walk around the lake or go on lovely mountain tours
