    Hiking

Holme Head Wheel was a water powered grinding mill used mainly for sharpening and honing blades. The first record of the mill comes from 1742, but it may have been in use at an earlier date. The building was demolished in 1936 and only the wheel pit, spindle, weir and mill pool remain.
