In the Wettertal south of the road from Lich to Nieder-Bessingen lies the deserted village of "Hausen", the remains of the former village of Hausen, somewhat hidden right on the edge of the forest. Today the village is covered by forest. An excavation took place in this area in 1968/69, but it was only limited to the church. During the excavation work, the ruins of a 6 x 12 m stone church were uncovered. A door each leads into the nave from the south and north. A side room with internal dimensions of 3 x 1 m was later added to the north side of the choir, originally used as a sacristy and subsequently used as an ossuary.

Here was a small settlement until the 15th century. The foundations of the church can still be seen today.
