The chapel in Reichenbuch, built at the crossroads of the hiking trails on the parish grounds, goes back to a vow by a pious 19th century Reichenbuch peasant. In the distress of the Napoleonic campaign to Russia (1812) the farmer Nikolaus Strohmenger had promised, under the obligation of a vow, to build a chapel in honor of the Blessed Mother after a happy return in Reichenbuch. Only his granddaughter, Dorothea Strohmenger, from the "Lenze" tribe, managed to build the promised chapel with the help of the local population in 1852.
