    The "Arc de Triomphe", also called "Porte de Peyrou" forms the entrance to the park "Promenade du Peyrou". The triumphal arch was originally a gate on the outskirts of the city and behind it was a drawbridge with which one could cross the city moat. The drawbridge has now been replaced by a 28-meter wide road bridge and the tram runs in the former city moat.
