The Hersbrucker Alb orchard initiative is committed to preserving varieties and replanting orchard trees that are threatened with extinction. Orchard meadows and orchards characterize the cultural landscape of the Hersbrucker Alb. The orchard initiative cultivates its own “organic fruit garden” with over 250 different apple varieties and markets the fruit through the regional organic apple spritzer “Pomme 200”.
