As of January 6th, 2022: The renovation of the railway cycle path between Rheinsberg and Flecken Zechlin has been completed. It is continuously passable, no more closures. The railway line from Löwenberg via Rheinsberg to Flecken Zechlin went into operation in 1899. After the Second World War, the route from Flecken Zechlin to Rheinsberg was dismantled as a reparation payment to the Soviet Union and later converted into a cycle path.
