The Jersbeker Baroque Park is popular as a green oasis. The mansion, however, hides the stroller. Here freemason counts turned their ideas over.

The mansion Jersbek is even older than the park. It was built from 1617 to 1620 by Jasper von Buchwaldt and completed by his son Hans Adolph. The Buchwaldts had taken over the estate around 1460 from the Hummersbüttel family, who had defended their reputation as "robber barons" for over 100 years on Jersbek and Stegen. The place name probably means "place of Jerik or Gerik". In 1678, Hans Adolph von Buchwaldt had the imposing gatehouse built, which presents itself to the visitor on the street and discreetly shields the manor house. This enterprising gentleman also founded the first winter school in the village and set up a poorhouse in Bargfeld, which, like Stegen, belonged to the estate.

This huge hedge is especially worthwhile in the summer - who just cuts it? ... And for the little pond is true in the summer: do not be scared, if something moves there - that's the pure frog-rearing tank;)

The gatehouse was built in 1678 and belongs with the mansion (built in 1650), the adjoining park and the approximately 80 years later resulting ice cellar in any case on the sightseeing list
