Mountain biking
in the Clairefontaine-Steinfort area,
was a real dam
hydroelectric built on the Eisch
adjoining the Grand Duchy and the
Belgium. All that remains are
ruins, prey to the misdeeds of time,
in a strangely forest site
calm, with the only inhabitants of
bat colonies. His
history is intimately linked to that of
Steinfort steel complex
founded in 1846 and now defunct…
If the dam installations are
definitively abandoned, the lake does not
nevertheless remained a goal of
hike until it's dried up
in 1930.
