The apse is dated to the 12th century. At that time, the Ore Mountains were only sparsely populated, and Griesbach was one of the first forest villages. The church got its present appearance in 1747, from 1999 the sacral space could be gradually restored. The Griesbach parish has a sister church relationship with Schneeberg.
Every Sunday there is a service in our church.
