in 1994 it was found that in the territory of the former Tuskulėnai manor there is a mass in 1944-1947. cemetery of Soviet victims. Archaeological research and exhumation of the remains have been started, during which the remains of 706 murdered people have been found. in 2003 after the start of the construction of the Tuskulėnai chapel - columbarium, the remains of 18 more people were discovered. A total of 45 burial pits with the remains of 724 people were unearthed in the area of the former Tuskulėnai Manor during archaeological research.

Vilnius doctor Julijanas Titijus had turned the Tuskulėnai manor into a kind of gathering place for Vilnius bohemians - the composer Stanislovas Moniuška, writer Juzefas Kraševski and others visited here.
