At the mouth of the "Dranse" in Lake Geneva is a nature reserve of great biodiversity.
It is located on one of the most important European migration routes and is a stopover for many birds, including cormorants, herons and raptors.
Unfortunately, the Dranse Delta is only partially preserved - most of it was built by housing estates and industrial estates and converted for a large marina and gravel factory. In between, a narrow strip of floodplain forest has been preserved along the course of the river.

Hopefully this will not take its revenge one day ... In recent years, flood disasters have multiplied and construction measures like this have also played a role.
