Delta de la Dranse Nature Reserve

At the mouth of the "Dranse" in Lake Geneva is a nature reserve of great biodiversity.
It is located on one of the most important European migration routes and is a stopover for many birds, including cormorants, herons and raptors.
Unfortunately, the Dranse Delta is only partially preserved - most of it was built by housing estates and industrial estates and converted for a large marina and gravel factory. In between, a narrow strip of floodplain forest has been preserved along the course of the river.Hopefully this will not take its revenge one day ...
