The former Gisonen tournament place from the neighboring Hollende Castle near Treisbach is now used as the breakfast area of the historic Grenzgangfest in Buchenau, which is celebrated every seven years.
Here, in the middle of the shady beech grove, several thousand hikers gather to relax on the approximately 14 km long, impressive path, recover from the strenuous ascent of the legandary Hauwald Stern, and then return to Buchenau.
