Santa Barbara Chapel and View of Riva del Garda

Very nice hike with a great view of Lake and Riva

The only three kilometers short climb to the chapel is a beautiful hiking trail that has it all. It winds its way up the slope of the mountain about 540 meters to the chapel of St. Barabara, from where you can enjoy a fascinating view of the surroundings of Rivas. The path first leads through a forest, higher up it gets rockier and the vegetation more lush. Again and again one sees Riva from different heights. A stop at the bastion and a snack just before the chapel invite you to rest and recover during the ascent. Arriving at the chapel you can enjoy the wonderful view and can immortalize yourself in a guestbook.
Climbers can go even higher with the right equipment and experience. Hikers, however, should let the view take effect for a while and then turn back.
