The patron of the parish church of St. Peter gives an indication of the age of the parish, which was probably founded in the eighth or ninth century. This assumption is further supported by the fact that the bishop of Regensburg, when exchanging arable land, designated it in the document between 861 and 891 as the property of St. Peter the Diocesan and the St. Emmeram. The spacious parish church of St. Peter was rebuilt in 1889, incorporating the old Gothic tower. Until the Hohenfels military training area was built, the municipality included other locations that then went off in the training area. In the cemetery of the parish of Adertshausen there is a memorial stone for the towns of Birket, Deinfeld, Eggertsheim, Egra, Enslwang, Grund, Raversdorf, Schwend, Trießlberg and Willertsheim.
