Anyone who experiences or hikes the banks of Lake Constance on the Höri can enjoy countless wonderful views of Lake Constance. These pictures show the view from Kattenhorn over the Rheinsee towards Mammer (CH).The Höri
The Lake Constance peninsula Höri lies between Radolfzell and Stein am Rhein (CH) in the Untersee and points at Horn to the island of Reichenau. Approx. 10,000 inhabitants live on 63 km2 in the communities of Moos, Gaienhofen and Öhningen. The Höri with the up to 715.6 m above sea level. rising forested Schienerberg is largely under nature or landscape protection.

According to legend, the Höri is said to have originated like this: When God created the world, he first formed the continents, the high mountains, the great rivers and the lakes. At the end of his creation, he created the gems of this earth, Lake Constance and finally the hilly, bay and valley-rich meadowland between Lake Zell and Lake Rhein. His last work seemed so successful that he exclaimed with pride and enthusiasm: "Etz Hör i" (Now I stop). The poet Viktor von Scheffel, to whom this landscape had become a second home, put it similarly: "It's all fine and beautiful, a masterpiece from the creator of the world". The name "Höri" can of course also be explained differently: One speaks of a "bishop's horn" - the belonging of this region to the property of the Prince-Bishop of Constance.
