One of the most famous walks in Merano is undoubtedly the Tappeinerweg, which leads from the city center along the slope of the Küchelberg. It is one of the most beautiful high altitude promenades in Europe and offers a mix of alpine and Mediterranean vegetation in combination with a wonderful panoramic view. Pines, Himalayan, cork oaks, olive trees, eucalyptus, bamboos and magnolias, agaves, aloes and prickly pears grow along the path.

The trail leads above Meran starting at the Pulverturm to below Dorf Tirol. It is beautifully landscaped with well-kept flower beds and shrubs and trees. There are many sections available which give fantastic views of the mountain panorama and the Adige Valley. A must on a visit to Meran!
The path is almost without steps and gradients and therefore suitable for pushchairs.
