In 1939 the church was rebuilt as a replacement for the Presswitz church that had disappeared in the reservoir. Among other things, the old Presswitz church was three figures from a late Gothic grand altar from 1500, the Georgiorgel from 1831, the sacraments with baptismal bowl and baptismal can from 1686, a communion can from 1662, and the bells from 1754 and 1924 were converted into the Hohenwarten church.
