One of the oldest churches in the Siegerland, first mentioned in 1239. As a fortified church built on a rock spur, it offered refuge to the population in times of crisis. The Martinikirche was used by both denominations at the same time for a good 300 years after the Reformation until the Catholic Church was inaugurated in 1895.
