Hiking Highlight

Starting from the Grünheide forest park, a well-signposted hiking trail leads to the high moor near Grünheide after about half a kilometer. You can walk over narrow footbridges to the edge of the protected moor. The moor lies in the catchment area of the Red River and is fed, among other things, by the annual rainfall of this region. Many protected animals and plants have their habitat here (bog berries, sundew, etc.).
It is recommended to combine this high moor with a hike around the Vogtlandsee.
