This bridge, suspended above the Guindy, replaced in 1834 the old ferry which provided the connection between Tréguier and Plouguiel. The name of the place recalls the establishment of a Franciscan convent near the footbridge until the French Revolution. It is one of the last witnesses of the rise of metal framing in France in the 19th century. Today the footbridge is used by pedestrians and cyclists, as part of the GR 34 and the EV 4. The Black Bridge, not far from the confluence, allows road traffic.

Wonderful old suspension bridge from 1834. 50 m long, 2 m wide, only for bicycles and pedestrians. Suspended above the Guindy, it replaces the old ferry that provided the link between Tréguier and Plouguiel. The name of the place recalls the establishment of a Franciscan convent near the footbridge until the French Revolution. It is one of the last witnesses to the development of steelwork in France in the 19th century. Today the footbridge is used by cyclists as part of the EV4, as well as pedestrians on the GR34. The Black Bridge, not far from the confluence, allows road traffic.
