The elongated building next to the town hall (to the right of the lion on the steps of the town hall in one of the photos) is the former cloth hall. Built after Duke John III had given permission, after his visit to the city around 1316. Used alternately as a bread house (1359), alderman's house (1361), cloth and meat hall (1368 and 1374 respectively) and finally as a guild chamber.
