Noordpolderzijl has the smallest seaport in the Netherlands. 't Zielhoes is located at the foot of the seawall. A nostalgic brown café is located in this former lock keeper's house. The story goes that Bob Dylan once had a cup of coffee in 't Zielhoes. Herman Sandman wrote down the following anecdote for the DvhN: “Calm down”, was the answer, “there's all a crazy American drinking kovvie at the bar.” Whereupon Scholte's gaze went to the corner of the bar and he almost had a heart attack.
