Haineck Castle Ruins

A well-restored and well-maintained castle ruin. Everything is secure, the tower is accessible via a staircase and there is even a toilet. The view from the tower is very beautiful.

Castle ruins on the edge of the Hainich are definitely worth visiting. Elaborately restored and well protected by the Nazza Castle Association, Haineck Castle is a very beautiful highlight in the Thuringian Forest. It can be climbed from all directions with some steep, but mostly moderate climbs. You can walk around it, visit the interior and climb the Great Tower. From the tower there are fantastic views in all directions. To the Hoher Meißner, the Wartburg and the Inselsberg, to name just a few.

Well, and the sight also invites you to dream and brings back memories of fairy tales like Rapunzel (let your hair down), Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.
